Dr Abdulrahman Saadoon, known to his patients as Abdu, brings a genuinely international perspective to his work at the Woodend clinic. Having trained and worked overseas for many years before making his way through hospital roles across NSW and Ballarat, he arrived at general practice not by default but by choice — it is where he found his passion and where he has stayed.

Abdu enjoys all aspects of general practice and has built a particular interest in men's health, children's health, mental health and chronic disease management. He is also experienced in dermatology, skin cancer checks and minor procedures, giving him a broad clinical skillset that serves his patients well across a wide range of presentations.

What patients consistently appreciate about Abdu is his warm and unhurried approach. He takes the time to really listen and makes sure patients feel comfortable and informed at every step.

Outside of work he loves travelling and spending quality time with his family.
