Appointments & Booking
-
You can book online at either our Gisborne or Woodend clinic any time of day. You can also call us directly on (03) 5483 3333 during clinic hours and our reception team will get you booked in.
-
We do our best to offer same day appointments where possible. Availability varies by clinic and time of day. Book online to check current availability or call your preferred clinic directly if you need to be seen urgently.
-
When booking online, look for the longer appointment option. If you are booking by phone, simply let our reception team know that you need more time. We recommend a longer appointment if you have several things to discuss, if it is your first visit, or if you are coming in for a Mental Health Care Plan, a 75+ Health Assessment or a similar dedicated service.
-
Yes. When booking online or by phone you can request your preferred GP and we will do our best to accommodate you. Please note that availability varies by clinic and day, so if your usual GP is not available at your preferred time it is worth checking the other clinic location.
-
We recommend booking a separate appointment for each family member so each person gets the time they need with their GP. You are welcome to attend at the same time and our team will do their best to schedule appointments consecutively where possible.
-
Please give us as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule. This allows us to offer your appointment to another patient who may be waiting. You can cancel or reschedule online or by calling us directly on (03) 5483 3333.
-
For medical issues outside clinic hours, please contact the National Home Doctor Service on 13 74 25. They provide after hours home visits across the Macedon Ranges. In an emergency, please call 000.
-
Please call your preferred clinic to find out about current telehealth availability. Our team can advise on whether a telehealth appointment is appropriate for your situation.
Fees & Bulk Billing
-
Yes. We bulk bill most GP consultations at both our Gisborne and Woodend clinics. Some services may incur a fee. If you are unsure whether your visit will be bulk billed, please call us before your appointment and we will let you know.
-
Bulk billing is available to patients with a valid Medicare card for most standard GP consultations. If you do not have a Medicare card or your visit falls outside the standard bulk billing criteria, our team will let you know the cost before your appointment.
-
Some services fall outside Medicare bulk billing, including certain procedures, cosmetic treatments and some specialist services.
Medical reports (including insurance, employment medical, commercial drivers license) are not covered under medicare and will attract a fee.
Please call us if you have a question about a specific service and we will be upfront about any costs before you come in.
-
If you do not hold a Medicare card, a private consultation fee will apply. Please call your preferred clinic for current fee information before your appointment.
-
If you are unable to attend, please ring and cancel your appointment at least 2 hours prior. This will enable us to offer the appointment time to someone else who needs it. There is a $50 charge for late cancellations and non attendance.
-
Payment is made at the clinic on the day of your appointment. We accept card payments at both locations.
New Patients & Records
-
Yes. We welcome new patients at both our Gisborne and Woodend clinics. You can book your first appointment online or give us a call.
-
Please bring your Medicare card, a completed new patient registration form, and a list of any current medications including vitamins and supplements. If you have any recent test results, specialist letters or a health summary from your previous GP, bring those along too. The more information your new GP has from the start, the better.
-
You can download the form here. We recommend completing it before your first appointment to save time, but our reception team can also help you fill it in when you arrive.
-
Download our Transfer of Medical Records form from here, complete it and return it to your previous practice. They will then arrange for your records to be sent to us. If you need any help with this, just give us a call.
-
Have a look at our Meet the Team page to find out more about each of our GPs and their areas of interest. If you are not sure, our reception team is happy to help match you with a GP suited to your needs. We always encourage patients to stick with the same GP where possible as continuity of care makes a real difference.
-
Yes. If your regular GP is unavailable, you are welcome to see another GP at the clinic. Please note that it is always helpful to let the new GP know who your regular doctor is so they can keep your care consistent.
