Dr Alaa Al-Obaidi brings a wealth of international medical experience to her work at the Woodend clinic, having trained overseas before building her career across a range of clinical roles in NSW and Ballarat before joining the Neal Street Medical Centre team.

Alaa is known for her warm, caring approach and her genuine commitment to making sure patients leave feeling informed and supported. She is passionate about holistic patient care and believes that giving patients the knowledge to understand their own health is just as important as the treatment itself. Her clinical interests span women's health, sexual health, mental health, dermatology and preventive medicine, and she is experienced in chronic disease and asthma management as well as immunisations.

Fluent in both English and Arabic, Alaa is an accessible and culturally sensitive choice for Arabic-speaking patients in the community.

Outside of work she loves travelling, exploring different cuisines and spending time with her family and two children.

Alaa works at the Woodend clinic.
