Dr Carl Lee is a partner at Neal Street Medical Centre and a familiar face to many in the Macedon Ranges community, having trained at the clinic before returning to look after the local community he knows well. He completed his medical degree at the University of Melbourne and his early hospital training through Eastern Health, before coming back to the region he calls home. He became a partner of the practice in 2023.

What makes Carl a little different is the breadth of what he brings to his GP work. A certified personal trainer as well as a doctor, he is genuinely passionate about the role exercise and lifestyle play in long term health, and particularly interested in how lifestyle choices affect chronic disease. It is not just theory for Carl — he practises what he preaches.

He has a particular interest in sports medicine, skin cancer, preventive care and paediatrics, and holds a Certificate in Dermoscopy, offering mole mapping at the Gisborne clinic. He takes a holistic approach to general practice, looking at the whole person rather than just the presenting problem.

Outside of work, Carl is kept busy by his young family including, and remains a devoted if long-suffering Saints supporter.

Carl consults at the Gisborne clinic on Mondays and Thursdays and at the Woodend clinic on Tuesdays and Fridays.
