Dr Rosa Marchetti grew up in Melbourne before heading to Canberra to complete her medical degree. What followed was a career built on breadth and variety, spending years in emergency medicine in Canberra before deliberately seeking out rural and remote settings across the country to broaden her experience. Most recently she has been working in emergency medicine in Echuca and in private practice in Melbourne.

Now transitioning into general practice at Neal Street Medical Centre, Rosa brings everything that emergency medicine teaches you — composure under pressure, sharp clinical assessment and the ability to deal with just about anything — to the very different but equally rewarding world of long term patient care. She is genuinely excited about getting to know her patients properly over time, something the emergency department rarely allows.

Rosa has a particular interest in women's health, sexual health and care towards the end of life, and approaches all aspects of her work with a holistic, whole-person philosophy.

Outside of work she enjoys crochet and is kept firmly in her place by two very opinionated dogs.

Rosa works at the Gisborne clinic.
