Dr Sneh Sabhaya brings an impressive combination of surgical training and emergency medicine experience to her general practice work. Having completed her medical degree and a Master of Surgery in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in India, she moved to Australia and went on to spend many years in emergency medicine at Monash Health in Melbourne, gaining the kind of broad clinical experience that makes a GP genuinely ready for anything. General practice, however, is where her passion lies, and it shows in how she works with patients.

Sneh has a particular interest in women's health across all stages of life, and is experienced in IUD insertions alongside her broader interest in obstetrics and gynaecology. She also holds a Diploma in Women's Health and sees patients across children's health, mental health and chronic disease management.

What sets Sneh apart is her commitment to culturally sensitive and accessible care. She speaks four languages fluently — English, Hindi, Gujarati and Marathi — making her an invaluable member of the team for patients from South Asian communities who prefer to consult in their first language.

Outside of work she loves spending time with her family and has a particular soft spot for a long, relaxed brunch somewhere good.

Sneh works at the Gisborne and Woodend clinics.
