Dr Xin Jin, who goes by Jinx, completed her medical degree at the University of Melbourne in 2010 and spent many years training and working across Victorian tertiary hospitals, with a particular focus on surgical specialties. It is a background that gives her a level of clinical depth that is genuinely unusual in a GP setting.

Jinx has a special interest in neurological conditions, particularly spine related diseases, and has accumulated over a decade of experience working alongside neurosurgeons in the diagnosis and management of spinal conditions. For patients dealing with complex or persistent spinal issues, that kind of specialist knowledge available at a local GP clinic is a significant advantage.

Beyond her neurological focus, Jinx provides care across a broad range of general practice including women's health, men's health, paediatrics and chronic disease management.

Outside of work she is an avid hiker, cyclist and photographer, and loves travelling and immersing herself in different cultures whenever she gets the chance.

Jinx works at the Gisborne clinic.
